Prerequisites

AQT only runs on Windows and is compatible with the following versions:

• Windows 10

• Windows 11

AQT runs fine in a Citrix or Terminal Server environment.

.NET Framework for AQT One

All versions of AQT after v11 use Microsoft .NET Framework 9. This is included as part of the install package.

.NET Framework for AQT v11 and AQT v10.1

AQT v11 and AQT v10.1 uses the Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5. This is not included in the install package.

If you are running Windows 8, Windows 10 or Windows 11, the .Net Framework 4.5 (or more recent) should already be on your machine.

.Net Framework for AQT v9 and v10.0

AQT v9 and v10.0 use the Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0/3.5. This is not included in the install package.

If you are running Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista or Windows 7, the .Net Framework 3.5 should already be on your machine. If not, you may need to download and install it.

If you are running Windows 8 or Windows 10, the .Net Framework 3.5 will be installed but may not be enabled. To enable it go to Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows Features On or Off.

64-bit versions of Windows

AQT runs fine on 64-bit versions of Windows.

When you install AQT v11 or below on a 64-bit system, you will get both a 32-bit and a 64-bit AQT executable. You will need to run whichever one is compatible with your database client / ODBC Driver. For instance, if you are using a 64-bit database client / ODBC Driver, you will need to use the 64-bit AQT.

ODBC Drivers

AQT uses ODBC drivers to connect to your database. Before you can use AQT with your database, you will need to install and configure both the Database Client and the ODBC Driver. AQT does not supply any ODBC Drivers.
