For nearly three decades, AQT has powered the work of database professionals across enterprises, governments, and financial institutions worldwide. Through countless versioned releases, AQT has earned its reputation for reliability and depth, but the way it’s been delivered hasn’t changed much since the early days.

Each numbered version required new license keys, individually purchased upgrades, and manual tracking. It was a system that served its time but has become increasingly difficult to manage in modern enterprise environments. It limited how quickly we could deliver improvements, and made it harder for teams to stay current and secure.

That’s why we’re making the biggest shift in AQT’s history, not just an update, but a new foundation for the future.

AQT One modernizes how AQT is licensed, secured, and delivered, providing teams with immediate access to all updates and straightforward license management. By moving to an annual subscription model, we’re able to invest more heavily in product development, deliver updates faster, and meet today’s enterprise standards for performance and security.

The Benefits of AQT One

  1. Stronger Security

AQT One has significant security improvements over the previous versions of AQT. We have made changes to the underlying code to address potential vulnerabilities, and we recommend this upgrade to all enterprises who are conscious about meeting current security standards.

  1. The New Licensing Portal

Businesses on AQT One will use an entirely rebuilt licensing system, whichgives your organization complete visibility and control:

  • View and manage all licenses in one place, without no spreadsheets or manual tracking.

  • Reallocate licenses instantly when users or devices change.

  • Enable or revoke access at any time without contacting support.

  • Track renewals, billing, and team access in real time.

  • Reduce likelihood of unused or misplaced licenses, ensuring you get the most out of every license.

  • No need to request activations via email, even for air-gapped machines.

  1. Modern Architecture

We are continuing to rebuild the program on a modern architecture designed for today’s enterprise environments. These changes lay the foundation for upcoming features and ensure AQT remains compliant with evolving security standards. Without these changes, it would be impossible for us to develop AQT for modern day requirements and features.

  1. Always Up-to-date

All users receive continuous updates, including new features, fixes, and performance improvements, all without the need for separate purchases or complex upgrade planning. Your entire organization stays current, secure, and standardized across every machine.

Important Information for AQT v11 and Below

AQT v11 and earlier have served customers well for many years, but the underlying systems that supported those versions are no longer suited to today’s security and performance standards. Retiring these legacy systems allows us to continue evolving AQT and delivering the reliability and innovation our users expect.

Special Offer for Upgrading from v11 or Below

We recognize that change takes planning, and we’re grateful for the loyalty our long-time customers have shown. As a gesture of thanks, organizations upgrading from v11 or earlier to AQT One before September 2026 will receive up to 75% off their first year.

Ending the sale of AQT v11: 1st November, 2025

We’re no longer selling new v11 licenses or version upgrades.

End of Support: March 31st, 2026

After this date, we will no longer:

  • Provide license reports or process activation/deactivation requests

  • Assist with license reassignment or transfers between machines

This step allows us to dedicate our resources fully to the continued development and security of AQT One.

Legacy License Server Decommission: September 30, 2026

Following this date, the legacy licensing infrastructure that supports AQT v11 and earlier will be permanently retired.

You may continue using your existing installation of AQT v11 or below on machines where it is already activated, but:

  • Licenses cannot be transferred to new devices

  • Reassignments or reinstalls will not be possible

We encourage all customers still using older versions to plan their transition to AQT One well before these dates to ensure uninterrupted use and ongoing support.
